Raised in Atlanta, Gloria Lapin returned home after college in the Midwest as a newly wed. She and her husband raised two wonderful daughters and now have two fabulous grandsons. Her four decades career in education saw her working in many roles. The most rewarding was as a first grade teacher.

Her artist’s journey has taken twists and turns. Since high school she wanted to create art, but it took her until retirement to find the time. She began by writing and illustrating comic books for struggling readers. After ten years as an author/illustrator she ventured into the fine arts by taking classes. Watercolor has become her medium of choice for its magic, transparency, and unpredictability.
