Everyday Artists
Rock~Paper~Scissors Creative Arts & Craft Classes are organized so you can chose those that interest you and explore new creative outlets. Most classes are introductory and require no previous experience. Recommended ages are indicated for each class.  All supplies included unless otherwise noted. Clay projects are fired off-site and returned to the gallery to pick up –  within 2-3 weeks. Our classroom is located upstairs from the gallery.
 
CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED & PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.

BEADED KUMIHIMO
with Tena Isaacs
If you have taken the corded Kumihimo class, this class will show you how to incorporate small glass beads into your work. Using the Kumihimo disc, Tena Isaacs will guide you step-by-step to create a gorgeous beaded choker finished with toggle clasp. Adults. See example below...

WOVEN CLAY BASKET

Using strips of clay, you will create a bowl using a traditional basket-weave pattern. Add your own personal touches and your finished creation will make a beautiful display piece or functional fruit or bread bowl - would be lovely for displaying colorful Easter Eggs! Professional Life Coach, Barb Young will help you learn to relax your body and mind as you do easy stretching and visualization exercises in order to better cope with stress. Take this time for yourself and get the stress out. Bring a yoga-style mat if you have one!

PIN and PENDANT Class

Add two unique pieces to your jewelry collection when you make a pin and a pendant by using bamboo forms to embellish with a mini-paper collage. Bring images from magazines, stickers, etc. or look through the provided stash and create a one-of-a-kind signature look. 12 - Adult

After all the wintry weather we've had...  we are ready to say "Welcome Spring!" Add a stake and this finished clay project will be a lovely addition to your garden, walkway, near your mailbox or even in a large potted plant - or - create a personalized hanging sign for your front door or garden gate. In this beginner-level needle felting class, you will learn to create the cutest little sheep using pipe-cleaners and wool. Learn basic animal armature and needle felting. Ages 12-Adult. See example...

SPRING SERVING PLATTER

Use your imagination to build on the suggestions of our instructor when you create a fully functional serving tray from clay. Your finished project will be oven, food and dishwasher safe. Carve out a design, use beautiful stamps, add hand-built embellishments and paint, to create your own platter ready just in time for Easter. All ages, under 12 with adult.

CLAY COASTER SET
with Jim & Dottie Talley
Make 4 round coasters from clay. Use a pattern to get you started then add your own touches with stamps, free-hand drawing to customize coasters that can be used for drinking glasses, as spoon rests, tea bag coasters, little catch-alls for change, keys, even as a guest soap dish - you decide! There's no end to wonderful ways to use litle dishes. Dishwasher safe makes cleanup easy. All ages, under 12 w/adult.

CLAY BIRD FEEDER

We are ready to "think spring!"  Want to bring out the beauty your outdoor space by encouraging your feathered friends to come to your garden? Create a beautiful bird feeder with feeding platform, cylider for holding seed and removable sliding top for restocking. These feeders also make a wonderful, personal gift for Mom! All ages, under 12 with adult.

PICNIC BASKET

This picnic basket is large and roomy and makes a great basket to carry all those delicious foods to your next meal at church or with friends. Bring a towel, bucket, dozen clothes pins and the rest of the supplies will be provided. $32 non-refundable deposit required at registration in order to prep supplies. Limited space! Art of Living Series
FUTURE SELF WORKSHOP

with Barb Young

Professional Life Coach, Barb Young will lead our group through an introspective visualization to meet the person you were meant to be. After the visualization process you may create a visual journal page through words and collage. This workshop is both fun and enlightening. Bring a pen, journal or notepad. You may also want to bring a yoga-style mat, and or pillow.
